Next Step

Having missed the deadline for the next step in my life, 
I contemplate if this was the correct choice.
And while I don't think it was,
I feel shockingly little remorse or regret. 
Whether the guilt will set in later or not is still debatable.
I'm sure I will find another
'next step'
before this staircase ends.
