Through Kansas

Just one turn the whole way,
a left in Salina.

Otherwise you just go straight.

Straight north, up the center of the country
and then a left and you just keep going until you hit Denver.

It was so flat.

In Burlington there was a Mexican restaurant, so we got takeout
and ate it in the front seat of the car.

There were french fries in the burrito.

A right angle to avoid the snow,
down in Raton, Clayton, Amarillo.

Just one turn the whole time—and it’s flat all the way.
