Taken/Took

So now it’s July
and the hot summer
moved past slow
maybe pick pocketed
it took something
I can’t put name to
yet but I do hear.
Feel. Like it knew
I would miss it.
Clever, That I
wouldn’t know
what it was,
but feels its absence
anyway.
