Forgetting

where I left my keys
what the hot sun feels like
the end of my hair hitting the backs of my elbows
kicking so hard I turn my toes red
my stretched out phone case
from all the coffee punch cards
a basketball
the dirty rubber shoes I wore in 5th grade
her curly ringlets
everyone being so tall
everything being so new
all of it.
